SUNROCK Resin Bonded Rock wool Slab
The uniformity of fiber distribution, the diameter of fibers, and the fiber lay pattern and bulk density is some special features of SUNROCK slab. SUNROCK bonded slabs consists of long fine fibers spun from molten natural rocks and bonded with a thermosetting resin.
SUNROCK slabs have the best combination of thermal insulation, fire protection and sound absorption properties.
SUNROCK Resin Bonded Slabs laminated with aluminium foil backed with craft paper are also available for duct Insulation and solar power generation and solar heaters.
APPLICATIONS :
The excellent thermal resistance of SUNROCK slabs is major factor for their use in Residential, Industrial Pipe & Process Insulation. Lower density materials are used for in-house application like under deck insulation, air conditioning duct Insulation, sound proofing of auditoriums, Conference halls etc. Higher density slabs are used for high temperature applications like furnaces, Ovens, Cable Ducts, Autoclaves, Chimneys etc.

THERMAL CODUCTIVITY :
Thermal conductivity varies with the Temperature and Density of insulation as shown in the graph.
COMPRESSION RESISTANCE :
SUNROCK Slab are highly resilient and easily regain their nominal thickness after removal if normal compressive load.
MOISTURE RESISTANCE :
SUNROCK slabs are good resistant to water Vapor, most common salts and chemicals. When tested as per IS, BS and ASTM standards. The materials exhibits resistance to moisture absorption.
ACOUSTIC PROPERTIES :
SUNROCK Slabs provide excellent acoustical and noise reduction Co-efficient. Due to high noise reduction co-efficient, they are used in acoustic insulation work for auditoria, theatres, public place and industrial areas where noise reduction is required.
COROSSION RESISTANCE :
SUNROCK Slabs do not cause, initiate or promote any kind of corrosion.
FLEXIBILITY :
SUNROCK mattresses are very flexible. They will essentially retain thickness while conforming to any irregular shape. Retention of fibers by6 the wire mesh prevents cracking or breaking of mattresses.
FIRE RESISTANCE :
Incombustible when tested as per IS:3144. Melting point of fibers is above 1000˚c (1825˚F). |
